Where can I get parts for my Old Smokey Charcoal Grill or Electric Smoker?

Right here!  Charcoal Grill Parts and Electric Smoker Parts. We have every part your Old Smokey Product needs as well as some outstanding accessories.

Can I buy directly from your company?

Absolutely! We sell our products online as well as take orders and payment over the phone. If you are local to Houston, or passing through town, you can place an order for "will call pickup" straight from the factory! We are open Monday - Thursday 7:00AM-5:30PM.

What other products do you sell?

Replacement parts, grill accessories, Old Smokey Gear, and don't forget about our Old Smokey Electric Smoker! This item works a little differently than a charcoal grill. It's electric! It has adjustable heat control and is best used for turkeys, roasts, briskets, and other larger cuts of meat. For hamburgers, steaks, hot dogs and the smaller cuts, nothing beats the Old Smokey Charcoal Grills. The well-equipped chef will want both!

Have you really been in business since 1923?

Yes, and in the same location. We love our history. Old Smokey Charcoal Grills have become our mainstay since we introduced them in 1950. Before that we made stovepipe, coffee cans, beer cans, lard cans (don't ask), oyster cans, pails and washtubs. See the history of Old Smokey Products Company page.

What multinational conglomerate owns Old Smokey Products Company?

None! We are a family-owned business. Call us up, you'll speak to a human, not a computer.

What size Old Smokey Charcoal Grill do I have?

Old Smokey Charcoal Grills come in three sizes: the Small (#14), the Classic (#18) and the Jumbo (#22). The numbers 14, 18 and 22 relate to the diameter at it its largest point. So, to find out what size you have, take the top off your Old Smokey Charcoal Grill and measure across the opening near where the grill is. If it's 14", you have a #14, and so on.

That said, keep in mind that the actual top grill where the food goes is a little smaller in order to fit inside. The grill for a #14 Old Smokey Charcoal Grill is about 13", the grill for a #18 is about 17" and the grill for a #22 is about 21".

How long will it take to get my Old Smokey product?

Most of the time we ship orders the same day we receive them. We like to process and ship orders in a hurry so you won't need to pay extra for overnight delivery services. UPS and FedEx usually take 3-5 days to deliver an order in the continental U.S. USPS is sometimes longer.

What's the best way to start a fire in my Old Smokey Charcoal Grill?

We don't like lighter fluid. Chimney style starters are OK, sometimes we find they tend to burn off a lot of the charcoal before the dump (starting with less fuel)... We find the best results with the classic pyramid and using either a small propane torch or tumbleweed starters.

Do you carry parts for other makes of grills or smokers?

We don't understand this question. "Other makes"?? There are grills that aren't Old Smokey? Why would anyone?.?.?.?....

Ok fine, yes, some of our products, such as the grills, have been known to fit other barbecue products. Call us and tell us what you have and we'll give you more information. Of course, we're going to take the opportunity to try to convince you to abandon what you're using and get an Old Smokey Charcoal barbecue grill instead.

Where do I buy your products?

We are sold in retailers as well as direct online from our website. Call your local stores and ask if the carry us- chances are they do; but if they don't, tell them they need to!

Can I be an Old Smokey Products dealer?

Our policy on this is "We like to sell Old Smokey Products and we'd like to sell them to you". Call or email us for more details (info@oldsmokey.com)

How long will my Old Smokey Charcoal Grill last?

Every time we answer this question, we hear from someone with an older model. One old timer (about 80) told us, "I've got my dad's Old Smokey and it cooks the same as the day it was made." The key to long life for an Old Smokey Charcoal Grill seems to be to clean out the ashes after each use (wait until they have cooled! ). We also recommend that you keep it away from hurricanes, as that will void the warranty.

Much as we like to sell new products, we prefer that you get a long life and many happy memories from your Old Smokey. We make our products from aluminized steel which is practically rust free. There's no paint to burn off (leaving steel to rust seemingly overnight), nor is there fragile porcelain to break off. Our product is simple, sturdy and long lasting. We're proud to sell them, and we know you'll be proud to own one.

Is there any food that the Old Smokey Charcoal Grill cannot cook?

We have had no luck making ice cream on the Old Smokey. Sushi doesn't do so well either. If you have any suggestions about how to do this, let us know.

Is there any way to make the Old Smokey products better?

You tell us! We'd love to read your suggestions. Send us an email to info@oldsmokey.com.

Can I get a rain cover for my Old Smokey Electric Smoker or Charcoal Grill?

Totally! We offer premium, high- quality, custom made covers from a veteran owned and operated business in Galveston, TX. They are water and UV resistant. They are not fireproof. Do not put on a hot pit, of course!

Remember that the Old Smokey Electric Smoker needs to be stored with the lid off or partially off to allow air to circulate inside the barrel between uses. Our cover is properly sized to allow this. Just don't leave the lid closed.
As for the Charcoal Grill, we have covers for the #22, the #18 and the #14. Remember to remove the cooled ashes after you barbecue, though. If the ashes get wet they hold the water and shorten the life of the steel.
