Rene's Onion Burgers and/or Onion Sliders
One day at the Old Smokey shop, we decided to grill Rene's Onionburgers and make them into sliders. We served them with Hawaiian buns and quickly, we realized they were a crowd favorite! The onion flavor mixed with the hawaiian bun flavor paired very well together- kind of a salty sweet. Add a little mayo to the slider with a pickle- now we're talkin'!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. of ground beef
- 1 packet of dry onion soup mix
Instructions:
Go ahead and light the Old Smokey Charcoal Grill and let it start to heat it up. When the coals are covered in white ash, they are ready to cook these juicy onionburgers. Combine the 2 ingredients and form into patties. As the patties cook, the juices mix with the soup mix and will spread the onion flavor throughout the burger. Simple and easy and full of flavor. Rene knew it all along!
